Paul Alexander Callam is the owner and sole proprietor in the Law Office of Paul A. Callam, PLC, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mr. Callam’s practice is concentrated in the areas of business organizations, commercial disputes, construction and real estate development issues, personal injury and medical malpractice claims, employment issues, and general civil litigation. Mr. Callam has been practicing law for over 24 years. Approximately 75% of his practice is devoted to litigation. He has extensive trial and appellate experience in State and Federal courts having tried more than 50 jury trials.

Prior to starting his own practice, Mr. Callam was a shareholder at Cooper & Walinski in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio. He also worked at Paskin, Nagi & Baxter in Detroit and was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Delta County, Michigan.

Mr. Callam is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the U.S District Court Eastern District of Michigan, the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan, and the U. S. Court of Appeals 6th Circuit. He is licensed in both Michigan (active) and Ohio (inactive).

Mr. Callam received his undergraduate degree at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio (honors) with a major in Biology and a minor in English and Psychology. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, Tennessee, where he received “The American Jurisprudence Award” in Civil Procedure.

Mr. Callam’s published works include updates for the “Federal Lawyers Manual” by Callaghan & Co., in 1989. He also prepared case summaries for the Commercial Litigation Committee published in the State Bar Business Law Section Journal in 1986-1987.
